Audio Review: Just Haven't Met You Yet

by Sophie Cousens

Cute. Would Recommend.

I'll say it before and I'll say it again: the narrator makes or breaks the audiobook. I picked up this book from my local library Libby app ( shout out to the Nashville Public Library) only because it was available and the cover was cute. I gave it the ol' 5 min preview and discovered that I immediately loved the light, cheerful, British lilt of the audiobook narrator Charlotte Beaumont.

Two illustrated people walking with suitcases

The book follows a journalist on her trip to a small island over the course of a weekend to write a story on where her parents fell in love. While on the way she mixes up her bag with someone else's and finds everything in her mystery man's suitcase to be exactly perfect for her. How's that for a meet-cute?

I'll be honest I actually wasn't sure who she was gonna end up with for more than half of the book Call me a romance reading newb, but I was still pleasantly surprised by the ending.

I really loved the supporting characters in this book. The author made them each memorable and unique, and even though they weren't the stars of the story I found myself really drawn to them and enjoying the scenes where the main characters interacted with the townsfolk.

Cute book. Quick read and an adorable ( if cheesy) romance.
